Tompkins County Residents to Choose Winner of “I Voted” Sticker Contest

Tompkins County’s Board of Elections has announced the finalists for the annual “I Voted” sticker contest, inviting residents to help select the winning design. The chosen sticker will be distributed to voters during the November 2025 general election.

From a pool of 67 creative submissions, election officials narrowed the field to 15 finalists. The designs showcase a variety of artistic styles, ranging from childlike crayon drawings to sophisticated digital illustrations.

Common themes among this year’s entries include patriotic symbols such as the American flag, which appears most frequently. Dogs are the second most popular motif. Other unique designs feature a sketch of Cayuga Lake, a rainbow octopus holding a flag, and a sticker adorned with hearts.

Republican Elections Commissioner Alanna Congdon expressed enthusiasm about the contest’s participation, stating, “We are so pleased with the overwhelming response this year.”

Democratic Elections Commissioner Stephen Dewitt acknowledged the challenge of selecting finalists, adding, “It was hard to pick the finalists for the public to vote on. I encourage everyone to share the contest with friends and family.”

Residents can view the 15 finalist designs and cast their votes through the Tompkins County Board of Elections website. The winning sticker will be revealed ahead of the upcoming election season.
