As the Oklahoma City Thunder gear up for a potential NBA Championship, one local tattoo shop is making a bold statement in support of the team. Located near downtown, Loud City Ink, owned by artist Taylor Freeman, has become a fan favorite for Thunder enthusiasts. With Thunder-themed decor and a name that’s a clear nod to the team, it’s no surprise that Freeman is deeply invested in their success.
Freeman has upped the ante for this year’s NBA Finals by offering 500 free tattoos to customers if the Thunder clinch their first-ever NBA Championship. The promotion is part of a series of giveaways that have progressively grown with each round of the playoffs.
How It Works
“The first round of the playoffs, we did 100. After they won the second round, we gave away 200. Then this last one was 300, so now that we’re in the finals, if we win, we’re going to give away another 500 tattoos,” Freeman explained.
For those lucky enough to be among the first 500 customers, they can score a free Thunder-inspired tattoo. And even if you don’t make the cut, don’t worry—you can still get your own Thunder ink for just $50.
Freeman recalls one memorable moment when a 79-year-old woman, who was getting her first tattoo, came into the shop to get her own Thunder-inspired design. “She came in and got it. She’s 79 years old and came and got a Thunder tattoo,” Freeman shared.
A Community-Focused Giveaway
Freeman’s promotion isn’t just about tattoos—it’s about celebrating the spirit of the community and the Thunder. As excitement builds around the team’s potential to bring home a championship, Loud City Ink is making its mark by offering fans the chance to express their Thunder pride through permanent artwork. The initiative has captured the imagination of local fans, who are lining up to take part in the tattoo giveaway as a way to commemorate this historic moment.
With OKC fans hoping for a thrilling conclusion to the NBA Finals, Freeman and his shop have positioned themselves as a central hub for Thunder fandom—offering fans an unforgettable way to celebrate the team’s success.
