Tickets for the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025 are selling at record-breaking speed, with Saturday’s show officially sold out earlier than ever before.
Set to take place from Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20 at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, this year’s event has already attracted more than 130,000 ticket sales across its three-day run. Widely regarded as one of the world’s premier aviation events, the Air Tattoo will feature over 200 aircraft and draw participation from air forces around the globe.
The theme for 2025, “Eyes in the Skies,” highlights the vital role of aviation in aerial surveillance, maritime patrol, intelligence gathering, and search and rescue operations. The show will also celebrate 40 years of the Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford, with a new heritage centre set to be unveiled as part of the anniversary.
Among the confirmed highlights are performances by the Royal Air Force Red Arrows, a Spanish Navy Harrier, and a wide array of aircraft aligned with the surveillance-focused theme.
Paul Atherton, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, said the overwhelming demand reflects the event’s enduring popularity post-COVID:
“Demand for our event has been incredible since we came back from COVID, and we are always grateful for the support we receive — from visitors, international air forces, and our volunteers,” Atherton said. “This year’s event promises another brilliant showcase, with aircraft from around the world and their crews on hand to engage with visitors about aviation and their careers.”
With Friday and Sunday tickets still available — but selling fast — organizers are urging would-be attendees to act quickly.
Proceeds from the Royal International Air Tattoo support the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, which focuses on inspiring young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
