Brook Park City Council has officially greenlit a one-day tattoo event hosted by Rock-N-Roll City Harley-Davidson, set to take place on June 13 at the dealership’s location at 4985 W. 150th St.
The council unanimously approved a conditional use permit as an emergency resolution during its May 20 meeting, fast-tracking the process due to the event’s proximity. The property lies within a U-7 zoning district, which requires special authorization for public events of this nature.
According to city legislation, the proposal was first presented at a May 5 public hearing before the Brook Park Planning Commission, which recommended approval without opposition.
Councilman Brian Poindexter, who chairs the commission, cited both the limited nature and charitable aim of the event as compelling reasons for support.
“First, it is only a one-day event and the conditional use permit is only good for that one day,” Poindexter told the News Sun. “Secondly, the event is going to raise money for charity.”
He also noted no public opposition was raised during any meetings, and he had not received complaints or concerns from residents.
City officials confirmed that the proposal met all procedural and zoning requirements. The event is expected to feature professional tattoo artists and vendors, though further details — including the event schedule and participating artists — have yet to be released.
