A Shrewsbury couple who began their journey as aspiring tattoo artists from council estates are now celebrating a decade of success as proud owners of their own studio.
Cassandra and Joe Worrall, the founders of Heart & Arrow Tattoo Studio, have built a thriving business rooted in passion, perseverance, and a shared love for the art of tattooing. Located in the heart of Shrewsbury, their studio has become a respected name in the local tattoo scene.
For Joe, tattooing is more than a profession—it’s a legacy. “It’s all I’ve ever known,” he said, having followed in the footsteps of his father, who was also a tattoo artist. Joe grew up immersed in the craft, which naturally shaped his career path from a young age.
Cassandra’s journey into the industry began through an apprenticeship in nearby Wellington. Her determination to learn the trade and develop her own style led her to join forces with Joe, not just in life but also in business.
The couple launched Heart & Arrow Tattoo Studio ten years ago with the dream of creating a space that combined high-quality artistry with a welcoming, inclusive environment. Reflecting on their early days, both Cassandra and Joe acknowledge the challenges of coming from modest backgrounds—but they’re quick to express how those roots helped fuel their drive to succeed.
Today, Heart & Arrow stands as a testament to their hard work and resilience. From council estates to studio owners, the Worralls have turned their artistic passion into a community hub where clients return not only for the tattoos, but also for the atmosphere and authenticity the duo brings to their craft.
“We couldn’t be happier,” they shared, looking back on their journey and ahead to the future. With a decade behind them, Cassandra and Joe are continuing to inspire—one tattoo at a time.
