A popular tattoo studio in the heart of Virginia Beach’s ViBe Creative District was heavily damaged by fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning, prompting a swift response from emergency crews and an ongoing investigation into the cause of the blaze.

According to the Virginia Beach Fire Department, the call came in shortly after 2:15 a.m. reporting a structure fire at Seven Cities Tattoo, located at 529 Virginia Beach Boulevard. Fire units were immediately dispatched to the scene, arriving within minutes to find the one-story commercial building fully engulfed in flames and heavy smoke.

Fire officials confirmed that the tattoo studio was unoccupied at the time the fire broke out. No injuries were reported among civilians or fire personnel.

“The building was vacant, which helped minimize the risk to occupants,” a department spokesperson said. “Our crews did an excellent job containing the fire quickly and preventing it from spreading to adjacent structures.”

The incident has drawn concern and support from nearby business owners and patrons, many of whom expressed shock at the damage to a long-standing part of the neighborhood.

As of Wednesday morning, authorities had not released an estimate of the damages or indicated whether foul play is suspected. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
