Birgitta Wild, owner of Bleed and Bloom Studio, and Jenn Linville, owner of Lily Beez, have joined forces to create a one-of-a-kind space in downtown Eau Claire that blends their unique talents. The new collaboration combines Wild’s whimsical goth-inspired tattoo studio with Linville’s botanical-focused floral shop, offering a creative and inclusive space for the community.
Located at 301 Main Street, the combined establishment marries two distinct styles—gothic elegance and botanical beauty—providing a platform for self-expression and artistry. Linville describes the partnership as a “wonderful addition” that has brought a refreshing energy to the store. “We wanted to create a beautiful space for two separate woman-owned businesses, all with the same love to serve our community with an open heart,” she said.
A Fusion of Floral and Tattoo Arts
Lily Beez offers a romantic take on gardening and floral artistry, featuring a range of products from bulbs and seeds to custom bouquets for weddings and events. Their space is light, airy, and bathed in natural beauty. Wild, whose Bleed and Bloom Studio specializes in neo-traditional and black and grey tattoos, contrasts this with a darker, moodier aesthetic, bringing the “night garden” to life. “We like to think of it as the ‘day garden’ and ‘night garden’ sides of the shop,” Wild explained, capturing the essence of the space with its duality.
The tattoo studio now occupies what was once Lily Beez’s cigar showroom, infused with Wild’s signature whimsi-goth style. The blend of tattoo artistry and floral design has become a hallmark of Bleed and Bloom Studio, offering a contemporary take on ink art with botanical themes. The space also reflects Wild’s witchy and gothic influences in its decor, creating an atmosphere that’s both inviting and distinct.
Creating a Safe and Inclusive Space
For Wild, Bleed and Bloom Studio is more than just a tattoo shop and boutique; it is a safe space for community, inclusivity, and self-expression. “I want to foster a space for like-minded individuals to support each other,” she said. The shop is a haven for those who appreciate both dark and light aesthetics, allowing visitors to connect with each other while celebrating their uniqueness.
The studio also features a curated selection of artisan goods, including botanical and bone art, sterling silver jewelry, and mystical charms inspired by faeries and crystal healing. Wild’s goal is to expand the fusion of art and nature, creating a place for local artists to showcase their work.
Grand Opening and Community Celebration
In early March, Bleed and Bloom Studio held a soft launch in its new space, and it officially announced its grand opening over Mother’s Day weekend, May 10-11. During the grand opening, the shop offered a selection of emerging boutique art, floral arrangements, and flash tattoos. “I will be doing flash tattoos on Saturday the 10th! You can sign up at 11 a.m., and then come back when we text you it’s your turn,” the studio shared on social media.
Linville is excited about the potential for this collaboration to showcase the power of women-owned businesses. She hopes that the space will not only honor their differences but also celebrate the shared passions that brought them together. “This collaboration will show how two businesswomen can be completely different but find great similarities as they grow together,” Linville said. “This store will be a place to share a love of nature, a love of people, and a place that is truly magically different than any space downtown.”
With the merging of Bleed and Bloom Studio and Lily Beez, the downtown Eau Claire scene now has a space that offers creativity, self-expression, and community, where nature and ink beautifully intertwine.
