The Flint Institute of Arts (FIA) is bringing the dynamic world of tattoo artistry to museum walls with its latest exhibition, “MI Ink: The Art of Tattoos.” Opening to the public on Saturday, May 17, and running through Sunday, August 31, the showcase will be on display in the museum’s Hodge and Temporary Exhibition galleries.

Celebrating Michigan’s rich contribution to tattoo culture, MI Ink highlights the artistry, tradition, and evolution of tattooing across the state. The exhibition features works from more than 30 tattoo artists currently practicing in Michigan. Visitors will encounter a diverse array of creative expressions, from traditional motifs to cutting-edge designs, presented through photographs, original flash sheets, and mixed media artworks.
