Stockholm and Helsinki-based startup Studio555 has announced the successful closure of a €4 million (approximately $4.6 million) seed funding round. The round was co-led by HOF Capital and Failup Ventures, with notable contributions from industry veterans including Timo Soininen of Small Giant Games, Mikko Kodisoja from Supercell, and Riccardo Zacconi of King.
The newly raised capital will support the development of Studio555’s innovative “playable app” — a game-inspired platform designed to enable users to design and personalize interior spaces without requiring technical skills. The app promises a visually immersive, no-code interface tailored for both casual gamers and interior design enthusiasts, lowering traditional barriers to entry in the design process.
Founded in 2023, Studio555 brings together CEO Joel Roos and former King executives Stina Larsson (CTO) and Axel Ullberger (CPO). Leveraging their combined expertise in design and gaming, the startup aims to appeal to a broad audience by merging creative expression with interactive gameplay.
With this funding, Studio555 plans to accelerate product development, grow its 17-person team across Stockholm and Helsinki, and gear up for a planned launch in 2026 targeting both European and U.S. markets.
