Manx motorcycle racer Nathan Harrison has celebrated a major milestone from the 2025 Isle of Man TT with a permanent tribute: a tattoo etched on his forearm, commemorating his first official 130mph lap around the iconic Mountain Course.
Harrison, who turned 27 on Monday, unveiled the new ink via social media, showing off the figure “131.270mph” — the exact speed he achieved during his fastest lap in the Superbike race. The lap was clocked from a standing start and earned him a fourth-place finish while riding for his self-run H & H Motorcycles team.
“My brother Glenn and Simon from Manx Tattoo kindly gave me a little birthday present,” Harrison wrote on Facebook. “I think my first official 130mph lap was worthy to go on my arm.”
The tattoo marks a high point in what has been Harrison’s third TT appearance, following a year away from the event. “To get a 131mph lap, to finish fourth, and to do it in the race when it counts — it’s an ecstatic feeling,” he added.
Strong Performance Across the Week
In addition to his Superbike success, Harrison put in solid performances across multiple classes, finishing seventh in both Superstock races and placing 12th and 14th in the two Supersport contests — all aboard Honda machinery.
Reflecting on his journey to this point, Harrison acknowledged the skepticism that followed his decision to launch his own racing team.
“In the winter when it was announced I was going to run my own team, it was hard not to read the comments online saying I’m not good enough,” he said. “But in reality, I had a really tough couple of years.”
“Safe to say I think after that TT I’ve let those people know I can ride a bike and I can run towards the front, especially this early in my TT career.”
Making a Mark
Harrison’s 131.270mph lap stands as a major personal breakthrough in the fiercely competitive world of road racing, especially on a circuit as unforgiving as the Isle of Man’s Mountain Course.
Now permanently inked on his forearm, the number isn’t just a speed — it’s a statement of resilience, ambition, and belief in his own path forward.
