Kristin Cavallari has added a new piece of body art—this time with a meaningful nod to her passion for travel.
The 35-year-old entrepreneur and television personality recently visited New York-based celebrity tattoo artist Jon Boy, who shared the fresh ink on Instagram. The delicate script, placed along Cavallari’s side, reads “Il Viaggio”, the Italian phrase for “the journey” or “travel.”
Cavallari’s choice of ink reflects her globe-trotting lifestyle, frequently highlighted on her social media. Her Instagram features a stream of vacation snapshots, including a recent getaway to Los Cabos, Mexico, which she previously described as her “happy place.”
This isn’t Cavallari’s first collaboration with Jon Boy. In August 2020, shortly after her split from ex-husband Jay Cutler, she commissioned the artist for a sentimental tattoo honoring their three children: Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor. The names were inked in cursive on her forearm. “Tattoo time,” she captioned the post at the time, sharing behind-the-scenes images of the session.
The former Laguna Beach star has continued to express herself through ink in recent years. She also sports a butterfly tattoo on her right wrist—symbolizing personal growth and healing. “Butterflies have been such a sign for me when going through difficult times,” she shared, referencing the emotional period following her 2020 divorce from Cutler after seven years of marriage.
Despite her affection for most of her tattoos, Cavallari has expressed regret over one design. In a March Instagram post, she shared a bikini photo with a faded star tattoo visible on her left ankle. “My only regret in life: the star tattoo,” she joked in the caption.
In April, Cavallari reflected on her personal evolution in a candid interview on The Bellas Podcast with Nikki and Brie Bella. “Through my divorce, I’ve done a lot of reflecting and I’ve really looked inward,” she said. “I feel like I’ve grown up the most that I have in the last two years because I’ve essentially been on my own.”
As she embraces her next chapter, Cavallari’s new tattoo stands as a symbolic reminder of her journey—both around the world and within herself.
