At Copenhagen’s 3 Days of Design, collaboration is a recurring theme, with brands often coming together to present their work side-by-side and co-create projects that highlight the power of partnership. Here are three standout collaborations that demonstrate the value of creative synergy.
1. The Salon: Other Circle
Design knows no boundaries — at least that’s the ethos driving Other Circle, a new design salon led by creative director Silas Adler. Debuting alongside 3 Days of Design at The Lab, an expansive industrial venue in northwest Copenhagen, Other Circle aims to explore the intersections of design, art, music, food, and fashion. “The boundaries between creative disciplines are dissolving, and the way we engage with culture is shifting,” Adler explains. “There’s a need for spaces that reflect this fluidity. Creatives are questioning the old models and pushing for something more connected, more alive.”
While cities like Milan already embrace this interdisciplinary approach, with luxury fashion brands taking center stage during design week, Copenhagen has traditionally maintained a more segmented scene—until now. Adler’s roots in fashion (he co-founded streetwear label Soulland in 2002) likely fuel his vision to disrupt conventions and invigorate Danish design with a fresh, cross-disciplinary energy.
2. OEO Studio x Time & Style
Copenhagen-based OEO Studio, renowned for its refined interiors and thoughtful product design, teamed up with Japanese furniture maker Time & Style, famed for its exquisite craftsmanship and innovative use of materials. Their joint showcase at 3 Days of Design harmoniously blends Japanese and Danish aesthetics, exemplified by the Kouryu chair — a tactile creation featuring a sculptural wooden frame paired with a plush tatami seat. OEO Studio co-founder Thomas Lykke and Time & Style co-founder Yasushi Yoshida reflect on their collaboration as a shared pursuit of meticulous care and respect for woodcraft.
