by Jessica

Design Miami has unveiled an ambitious international schedule of events and exhibitions for 2025, commemorating the fair’s 20th anniversary with the launch of Design Miami. In Situ. The new initiative marks a significant evolution for the globally recognized platform, known for championing museum-quality 20th and 21st century furniture, lighting, and objets d’art.

“For 20 years, Design Miami has been dedicated to platforming the very best of historic and contemporary collectible design on the global stage. As the design world and market evolve, so do the ways our community engages with it.

Paris: Third Edition Returns to L’hôtel de Maisons – October 2025

October sees Design Miami return to Paris for the third edition of its fair at L’hôtel de Maisons. This year promises the largest gallery programme in the fair’s Paris history, along with an expanded Design at Large section showcasing monumental works and architectural installations.

Miami Beach: “Make. Believe.” – December 2025

The year culminates with the 21st edition of Design Miami in its flagship location of Miami Beach. Curated by Glenn Adamson, the theme Make. Believe. will explore avant-garde visions across time, honoring the imaginative force that has driven design innovation from past to present — and into the future.

Strategic Shifts Amid Changing Art Fair Landscape

The announcement of this new global slate arrives as Design Miami notably pauses its presence in Basel during Art Basel week. The Swiss fair was canceled earlier this year, prompting some dealers to organize an independent event, Maze, in its absence.

Despite this change, the expanded In Situ programme demonstrates Design Miami’s adaptive strategy and ongoing commitment to cultivating international design culture through both established fairs and experimental formats.

As the design world continues to evolve, Design Miami appears poised to not only reflect those changes — but lead them.
