According to the Virginia Beach Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the 500 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard, just blocks from the Oceanfront, after receiving a call reporting a structure fire at 2:16 a.m. Fire units arrived on the scene within four minutes, a rapid response that officials say played a key role in minimizing the extent of the damage.
The tattoo parlor was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Firefighters forced entry into the building to access the source of the flames. Thanks to quick action by emergency crews, the fire was brought under control in a short period of time, and no injuries were reported.
