Miranda Lambert has revealed a new tattoo that fans believe holds a special connection to one of her greatest passions—horses. On Thursday, April 24, the 41-year-old country star shared a new photo for her lifestyle brand, Idyllwind, showcasing her latest ink. The image features Lambert crouching on a black-and-white tiled floor, dressed in an all-denim ensemble. Her long blonde hair is styled in voluminous curls, and she adds a touch of turquoise jewelry to complete the look.
As she rests her forearm on her knee, a small horseshoe tattoo near her wrist catches the eye. Fans quickly noticed the new addition, with one commenting, “Obsessed with the new tattoo,” and another joking, “Okay so can we all just get matching tattoos (and jeans) at this point?!”
The tattoo’s meaning was later revealed by Lambert’s tattoo artist, Christina Nguyen, in a post on Instagram. The design features a heart and two star-like shapes inside the horseshoe, further underscoring its personal significance.
Lambert has a number of tattoos, including script along her forearm and an arrow on the side of her hand. In 2016, during a performance in Nashville, she shared that some of her tattoos were a reflection of a challenging year she had gone through in 2015. “We both went through a really s—– 2015 and we have the tattoos to prove it,” she told the crowd, referring to a song called “Scars” by her guitarist, Scotty Wray.
As a proud horse owner, Lambert has frequently shared her love for her animals. In 2020, she told PEOPLE, “The loves of my life are my horses.” In 2024, she introduced a new horse named Cool, calling him “one of the sweetest horses I’ve ever met.” Lambert added that she had recently picked up the hobby of mounted shooting and had made new friends through it, including Cool.
In addition to her love for horses, Lambert is gearing up for an exciting appearance at the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards. She was announced as one of the performers for the May 8 show, joining stars like Alan Jackson, Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, and Blake Shelton. Hosted by Reba McEntire, the ceremony will be streamed live via Prime Video from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
