An Indiana Pacers fan has made a permanent tribute to Tyrese Haliburton’s viral “choke” celebration following the team’s pivotal playoff victory over the New York Knicks.
The tattoo, created by Indianapolis-based artist Kiarra Baxter, has gained widespread attention online. It features a detailed portrait of Haliburton mid-celebration — hands around his neck — referencing a dramatic moment from Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The artwork is surrounded by the phrase “What the Haliburton,” with Rob49’s track WTHELLY playing in the background of the reveal video.
The celebration itself came after Haliburton hit a remarkable shot late in the game, echoing Reggie Miller’s infamous 1995 gesture aimed at the Knicks. Haliburton’s version went viral almost instantly.
The Pacers went on to win the series 4–2, securing a place in the NBA Finals for the first time since 2000. Ahead of Game 6, actor Ben Stiller joked on social media about Haliburton’s all-black outfit, writing, “Good thing he brought his duffel for the flight to NY.” After the Pacers’ win, Haliburton responded with a jab of his own, posting, “Pack y’all up,” alongside a clip from the film Hardball and the phrase “YES ‘CERRRRRS.”
While the tattoo currently stands as a bold tribute to a memorable playoff run, some fans have speculated about potential regret — especially if the Pacers fall short against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals.
For now, though, the ink represents a defining moment in the Pacers’ postseason story — one that merges team pride, pop culture, and a bit of playoff swagger.
