Tattoo enthusiasts and industry professionals will gather in downtown Sacramento this weekend as the Capitol City Classic Tattoo Convention returns for its third year. The event, which showcases top-tier tattoo artistry from around the world, will run from Friday, May 30, through Sunday, June 1, at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, 1400 J Street.
A Global Tattoo Showcase
More than 300 tattoo artists from over 25 countries are scheduled to participate in the convention, according to the event website. The lineup spans all major tattoo styles, including Japanese, American traditional, fine-line, and black-and-grey. Notable artists scheduled to appear include Good Time Charlie, Theo Mindell, and Holy Fox.
In addition to live tattooing, the convention will feature seminars, live demonstrations, contests, and a variety of tattoo-related vendors. Food options will be available on-site.

Ticket prices vary by access level:
Single-day pass: $41.59
Three-day pass: $102.79
VIP weekend pass: $143.59 (includes early entry, a limited-edition convention T-shirt, and a tote bag)
Children aged 12 and under may enter for free. However, under California law, individuals must be 18 or older to receive a tattoo.
Parking Options
There are numerous public parking garages within walking distance of the convention center. As of May 27, all-day garage parking ranged from $12.75 to $29.87, per SpotHero.
Smart meters are also available in downtown and midtown Sacramento, offering tiered pricing with rates starting at $2 for the first hour and increasing by $1.50 per additional hour. In Old Sacramento, parking regulations are enforced daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., including holidays.
