The former Miami Heat star recently revealed a new tattoo designed in collaboration with Los Angeles-based artist Clifford Chen. Known for his intricate and meaningful designs, Chen boasts a social media following of over 118,000 and is renowned for creating tattoos that “tell a story.” Wade’s new chest piece is no exception.
The tattoo pays tribute to the milestones of Wade’s two-decade NBA journey. It features the jerseys he wore throughout his career with the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and Cleveland Cavaliers, as well as the NBA’s 75th Anniversary logo—marking his selection among the league’s 75 greatest players of all time.
Wade, who entered the league in 2003 and retired in 2019, remains one of the most revered figures in NBA history. He led the Heat to their first championship in 2006, earning Finals MVP honors at just 24 years old. He later joined forces with LeBron James and Chris Bosh, capturing two more titles in 2012 and 2013 during Miami’s “Big Three” era.
After a brief stint with his hometown Chicago Bulls and a short reunion with James on the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wade returned to Miami, where he finished his career. His loyalty to the Heat franchise was rewarded with his No. 3 jersey being retired, a statue commissioned in his honor, and his 2023 induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Throughout his career, Wade earned 13 All-Star selections, eight All-NBA honors, three All-Defensive team nods, and the NBA scoring title in 2009. His impact transcended team allegiances, earning admiration from basketball fans around the globe.
Now, with his Hall of Fame legacy etched into history—and his chest—Wade continues to celebrate a career that helped shape the modern NBA.
