WWE legend Bill Goldberg is feeling the love after his son, Gage Goldberg, honored him in the most permanent way — by getting a matching tattoo. The 19-year-old recently surprised his father with the gesture, and Goldberg says he was overwhelmed.
“It’s the biggest honor I could be bestowed — that my son would have a matching tattoo of mine,” Goldberg told TMZ Sports. “You know, you’re indifferent sometimes about things that your children do, but there’s no negative to this one, man.”
The tattoo, which replicates Goldberg’s iconic shoulder design, was inked by the same artist who did the original decades ago. The father-son duo flew out on short notice to have the work done.
“Ironically, he still had the same stencil from my original tattoo,” Goldberg said. “He never threw it away. He’s never duplicated that tattoo on anyone — except for Gage.”
The younger Goldberg said the whole idea came together within 24 hours — and for the WWE Hall of Famer, the experience was unforgettable.
With their matching ink now complete, the Goldberg family turns their attention to what could be the next big milestone: Bill Goldberg’s retirement match.
The 57-year-old powerhouse confirmed he recently completed a physical in preparation for his final WWE appearance. While details are still under wraps, he hinted that an official announcement is on the horizon.
“It’s probably within the next couple months. I think very soon, the world will know — and I’ll know — the exact date,” he said.
One thing is certain: Gage Goldberg will be in the spotlight too, as his father confirmed his son will accompany him to the ring for his farewell bout.
