Nearly 1,000 attendees left with fresh ink as the annual State Street Tattoo Fest brought artists and enthusiasts together in downtown Bristol over the weekend.
Tattoo artists from across the United States converged on the twin cities, offering a diverse range of styles—from neo-traditional and fine-line work to hyper-realism and custom flash pieces. For many guests, the event offered a rare chance to be tattooed by artists they’d otherwise have to travel hundreds of miles to reach.
“We’re bringing in artists from all over the country,” said Justin Brown, owner of Bristol Tattoo and one of the festival organizers. “So many people follow specific artists and styles online, and this gives them the opportunity to finally get a piece from someone who might live ten states away. They’re not just getting tattoos — they’re collecting art.”
The State Street Tattoo Fest has grown into a staple event for Bristol, attracting clients and collectors from the surrounding region and beyond. The gathering blends the artistry of tattooing with the energy of a regional festival, turning downtown into a buzzing hub of creativity.
For those who missed out on getting inked during the event, Brown encouraged them to follow up with participating artists directly at their home studios.
“Just because you didn’t get tattooed here doesn’t mean you missed your chance,” he said. “Visit their shops, follow their work — this is just the beginning.”
