The Sims 4 has partnered with artist and entertainer Doja Cat to bring fresh and creative tattoo designs to the game. As a passionate Simmer herself, Doja Cat has collaborated with The Sims team to offer players three exclusive tattoo stamps in the latest Businesses & Hobbies expansion pack.
Inspired by her personal tattoo journey, Doja Cat’s designs include a Renaissance-style statue, a bold sword motif, and a spider—a symbol of femininity and fearlessness. “I have a spider on my wrist, which was my first tattoo,” Doja Cat shared. “Spiders represent femininity, and I’m also terrified of them. I thought it would be fun to put something on me that scares me, as it feels like I’m owning my fear… facing it.”
Tattooing as a Creative Expression
The new Tattooing Skill in the Businesses & Hobbies expansion offers Sims an exciting way to showcase their creativity and start their own tattoo business. Sims who specialize in tattoo artistry can design and apply both pre-made and custom tattoos, expressing their style through ink. As they advance in their tattooing abilities, they’ll unlock new tools, such as stamps, stencils, and touch-up techniques, enhancing their craft and improving their chances of creating stunning designs.
Additionally, the expansion introduces the Tattoo Paint Mode in Create a Sim, allowing players to craft custom tattoo designs. A recent update to the base game has also given players the ability to adjust various tattoo settings, such as Hue, Saturation, Opacity, and Brightness, through sliders, offering even more flexibility and personalization in design.
Layered Tattoos for Ultimate Customization
For the first time, The Sims 4 now allows players to layer tattoos, even from different packs, on the same body part. This feature adds a new level of customization, enabling Sims to mix and match multiple designs for a truly unique look. Players can share their creations in the newly added Gallery category or explore tattoos crafted by other Simmers.
To learn more about the new tattoo features, players can refer to the latest Patch Notes.
As always, players are encouraged to report any inappropriate content or comments encountered in the game or on the Gallery via the flag icon. For more details on content guidelines and how to report issues, visit EA Help.
