At every Oklahoma City Thunder game, fans are guaranteed a few things: the slow clap before tipoff, the trademark O-K-C chants, and, of course, the unmistakable presence of a tattoo-covered fan sitting courtside. That fan is Jeremy Price, affectionately known as “Courtside Tattoo Dude.”
Price has been an avid supporter of the Thunder since the team’s inception in 2008. Over the years, much has changed for the franchise, but one thing remains constant: the unmatched energy of the fanbase inside Paycom Center. “The energy here, the intensity of this fanbase—you can’t match it,” Price said. “You just have to be here.”
For Price, sitting courtside in Section 104 is where the magic happens. “104 is where it’s at. I’m going to tell you that right now,” he said, a sentiment shared by many who have attended a Thunder game over the years. Price is in his 16th season as a season ticket holder, an experience that has allowed him to build a connection with some of the team’s top players.
Through his years of cheering on the Thunder, Price has had the opportunity to meet players such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Lugentz Dort, Jaylin Williams, Kenrich Williams, Aaron Wiggins, and Isaiah Joe. “It’s nice to get to say hello in a different environment than on the court because that’s their office. That’s business when they’re on the court, right?” he explained.
In fact, some of the players even recognize him in the stands. Jalen Williams, a fan favorite, gave Price a shoutout in a YouTube video, calling him “The Courtside Tattoo Dude.” Williams added, “That’s his thing. He’s a really cool friend of mine.” Price reflected on the recognition, saying, “They do acknowledge, and they see. It’s kind of hard to miss a little bit.”
But for Price, it’s not just about the recognition or the personal connections he’s made—it’s about the Thunder’s success. One of his most cherished memories as a fan is witnessing the team break the franchise record with 65 wins. “One of my best memories is when they eclipsed the franchise record of the 65 wins,” Price recalled.
Looking ahead, Price is full of optimism for the current roster. He firmly believes that the Thunder have what it takes to go all the way this season. “I think they’re going to win it all this year,” he said with confidence.
Like the players themselves, Price has his own pregame ritual. As he continues to support his beloved Thunder, he’s made it clear that his passion for the game and the team is as strong as ever. To learn more about his pregame routine and hear more from Price himself, watch the video below.
