As the Minnesota Timberwolves make their return to the NBA playoffs, a local tattoo shop in Roseville, Minnesota, is once again offering fans the chance to permanently ink their allegiance to the team. Beloved Studios, known for its creative designs and passionate staff, has become a hub for Timberwolves enthusiasts looking to show their support through tattoos.
Tattoo artists JC Stroebel and Jesse George, both self-proclaimed super fans of the Timberwolves, have become famous in the local tattoo scene for their dedication to the team. Over the past year, they’ve earned the nickname “Timberwolves tattooers” after tattooing over 500 designs featuring “Naz Reid,” a fan-favorite player, on the bodies of fellow supporters.
“We’re never going to stop talking about the Timberwolves,” George said, emphasizing the shop’s unwavering devotion to the team. “Timberwolves are always going to dominate our conversations.” Stroebel added, “I didn’t think I was going to kick off my tattoo career by tattooing Timberwolves fans nonstop, but that’s been the case since last year.”
The duo’s success in tattooing the popular “Naz Reid” design last year led to a flood of Timberwolves fans eager to show their team spirit through body art. Now, with the team returning to the NBA playoffs, Stroebel and George have decided to expand their offerings, creating tattoos for fans that feature not just Reid, but all of the Timberwolves’ key players.
“Everyone came in and got the Naz Reid, but everyone has their other favorite players, too,” George explained. “So giving those players an opportunity to shine the same way Naz got to last year felt like a natural next step.” The new designs will allow fans to celebrate a broader range of players and their contributions to the team’s journey.
For Stroebel and George, this is more than just business—it’s about community. “It’s a story that’s still developing,” Stroebel said. “What’s so fun is it’s not just us that’s a part of this. There are over 500 people now in Minnesota who get to look at a tattoo on their skin and be just as equally a part of this story.”
The special Timberwolves tattoo event will take place this weekend, starting Friday, with hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fans can stop by to get inked while enjoying food, Timberwolves merchandise, and the excitement of the playoffs.
For many, getting a Timberwolves tattoo is a way to etch their loyalty to the team into their lives permanently, hoping to capture a piece of history as the team looks to make its mark in the postseason.
