Pip Edwards, the 44-year-old creative director of Ksubi and co-founder of P.E Nation, has been enjoying a week of rejuvenation at a wellness retreat in Thailand. Accompanied by her 18-year-old son, Justice, Edwards has been undergoing a personalized “equilibrium of health” program at RAKxa, a renowned integrative wellness retreat located on an island near Bangkok.
During her retreat, Edwards shared a rare glimpse of a tattoo on the back of her neck, which reads “Never Look Back” in cursive. This tattoo complements another design she has on her body, located underneath her bicep, which bears the phrase “this must be the place”—a tribute to the classic Talking Heads song. Edwards also has a tattoo of her son’s name in Old English font on her foot, along with a simple star design.
The retreat, priced at a minimum of $9,350 for a five-night stay, has been a transformative experience for the businesswoman. In a heartfelt Instagram post on Wednesday, she reflected on the journey. “As I approach my 45th birthday, I am so grateful to have had this experience to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of my daily life and return to my body,” Edwards wrote. “I’ve focused on nourishing it with clean foods and replenishing it with the spiritual energy it’s been craving.”
She went on to describe how the retreat, which also included doctor consultations on fitness, anti-aging, Pilates, meditation, acupuncture, and more, has brought her a newfound sense of peace. “I have never felt more at peace, healthier, or happier,” she added. “And I’m so grateful to my son for witnessing this transformation.”
One of the key lessons Edwards took from the retreat was the importance of mindful breathing. “The main takeaway for me is so simple—it’s to learn how to breathe,” she said. “Breathe properly and deeply, and truly understand the connection between my breath, my physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.”
The retreat’s wellness program, designed to improve longevity and quality of life, has provided Edwards with new tools to enhance her overall happiness. “Give your body and yourself the love and attention it deserves,” she advised her followers. “Maybe I’m writing this just to remind myself to slow down more often, in order to maintain my fast pace!”
The timing of Edwards’ retreat coincides with the announcement of her activewear brand P.E Nation’s flagship store closure. The store, located in The Galeries shopping center on George Street in Sydney’s CBD, will shut its doors for the final time on Thursday, April 24. Despite the closure, the brand reassured customers that it marks the beginning of a new chapter. P.E Nation took to Instagram to share the news, stating, “We’re on the move!”
A statement from the brand read, “A big thank you to everyone who visited, supported us, and became part of our community—you made it special. While we’re saying goodbye to this space, it’s just the start of a new chapter.”
P.E Nation confirmed that their stores at Westfield Miranda and Bondi Junction will remain open. The Westfield Miranda location, which opened earlier this year, is now the brand’s newest retail outlet.
Founded in 2016 by Edwards and Claire Greaves, P.E Nation quickly became a prominent activewear and athleisure brand. Both co-founders, who previously worked together at Australian label Sass & Bride, stepped back from day-to-day operations last year. While Edwards resigned as creative director in August, and Greaves had already stepped down five months earlier, both retain their positions on the company’s board.
In the wake of the closure, P.E Nation has emphasized that it will continue to thrive and evolve, marking the closure as a key milestone in the brand’s ongoing journey.
